Accu-Balance Associates, Inc. (Parent Company) a well known HVAC Testing & Balancing Firm, was started in 1982 and founded by Gordon Yu along with several partners whom worked together from 1976-1982.  Their first office opened in Monterey, CA in 1982 and six (6) years later in 1988, a second office opened in Gilroy, CA.  With the opening of this second office, Gordon saw the need to progressively migrate to the San Jose area, the ‘Heart of the Silicon Valley’.  In 1989, the Monterey office closed and the company focused all its energies on the San Jose Markets.  In 1994, the Gilroy office relocated to San Jose, where the company now resides.  It was in 1993 that the firm reached an all-time sales volume high, topping the $1,000,000.00 mark in Testing & Balancing Contracts. 

        Since then, (over the last seven (7) years) the company’s revenues had leveled off.  Hence, with the ‘Testing & Balancing Industry’s Market’ shrinking, and with the competitive Design & Build Mechanical Contracting Firms absorbing this scope of work, it was a logical decision to transform Accu-Balance into ACCU-MECHANICAL!  It’s Co-founders (Gordon Yu & Joseph Percia) in December of 2001, were joined by Carl Fung in January 2002, to form an experienced and formidable team in the Design/Build HVAC Arena.  Combined, these three (3) principals bring over fifty (50) years of HVAC Design, Engineering, Construction, Project Management and HVAC Commissioning experience, to the organization.
